About me
I have always been captivated by the power of connection. Growing up as a first-generation kid, I witnessed how identity, language, and family dynamics shape who we are. These experiences taught me resilience and empathy, but they also carried challenges. Straddling different cultural worlds, I often felt the need to adapt, which sometimes left me unsure of where I truly belonged.
My journey to becoming a therapist started with my own experiences of navigating life’s transitions and challenges. Like many, I’ve faced moments of self-doubt, grief, and the weight of expectations. These experiences deepened my understanding of how complex and layered our stories are, inspiring me to create a space where others could explore theirs with compassion and curiosity.
Today, I specialize in working with women, the BIPOC community, and those navigating multicultural identities, including immigrants and first-generation individuals. My practice focuses on life transitions, anxiety, depression, family of origin issues, grief, and attachment challenges. I understand the importance of creating a space that honors the unique intersection of identity, experience, and values.
My approach to therapy is rooted in empathy and collaboration. I draw from a variety of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). When working with couples, I incorporate Gottman Method Couples Therapy and attachment-based approaches to help foster meaningful connection and communication.
Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you, it’s about helping you reconnect with your authentic self. It’s a space to work through challenges, discover new ways of thinking, and create real, lasting changes. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just unsure of where to start, I’m here to walk alongside you as you navigate the twists and turns of life.
